Christina Uong
Associate Marriage and Family Therapist
Working through an integrative approach that includes psychoanalytic, somatic, and creative, depth-oriented processes, Christina seeks to offer a warm and nonjudgmental space that facilitates not only curiosity and self-reflection but deep healing and meaningful growth.
Christina provides individual therapy for adults who present with a variety of concerns, but largely sees those struggling with anxiety, burnout, complex trauma, devastating loss, family of origin issues, life transitions, perfectionism, and cross-cultural difficulties.
Christina also provides couples therapy, wherein her therapeutic style is highly interactive, supportive, and more direct than when working with individuals. She blends attachment theory, relational, and a trauma informed, psychodynamic consideration of each person’s past.
Christina received her M.A. in Clinical Psychology from Antioch University and her B.A. in Psychology from UCSD. Her clinical experience includes working with diverse adults and couples from different socioeconomic, racial, ethnic, religious, education, gender, and spiritual backgrounds.
